Required course for all freshmen majoring in the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures (DFLL). Note that the class is held in the Xinsheng Building 新502 on Wednesdays and Audio-Visual Center (AVC) 201 on Fridays. Students will learn and practice a core of basic skills required for success in English and language learning and in the DFLL, including reading, critical thinking, language study skills, correct formatting, Pinyin Romanization and others. The class will be co-taught by all three DFLL freshman English teachers; students will meet with their assigned teacher on Wednesdays and an hour each with the other two teachers on Fridays.
